13 Feb Keep My Cows, with Carles Marigó – album and concert
Guitarist Maria Camahort and pianist and improviser Carles Marigó present “Keep my Cows”, a very personal approach to a collection of brief musical jewels of Spanish music from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The duo presents their personal perspective on the Spanish vihuela school of the 16th century, with composers such as Alonso Mudarra, Luis de Narváez, Miguel de Fuenllana… up to the baroque guitar treasures by Gaspar Sanz and Francisco Guerau, already in the last quarter 17th century.
A journey in which musical improvisation will be one of the essential elements, including forays into our present with the frequent appearance of contemporary rhythms, sounds, and timbres.
Album was released on 11th February, and you can find on various digital platforms
Album launch will take place at Auditori Can Roig i Torres (Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona), on 4th March. See you then!
